Donald J. McLaughlin

Donald J. McLaughlin (Don) was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1929. He received a BA in business from Michigan State University in 1952.

Don is a Korean War Veteran and served with the Army regular and reserve forces for 23 years, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel.

He retired from Procter & Gamble after 35 years having been New York District Manager and National Account Manager in the Institutional Products Division.

Don has been married for 51 years to Jan, née Turner. They have two sons and a daughter and six grandchildren.

He is an active member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Anderson Township, having served as Junior and Senior Warden and Lector.

Don has been tutoring adults to read for the past 14 years. He is currently a tutor trainer, helping to train others to teach. Don joined the Literacy Council Board 6 years ago and is the immediate past president.

He enjoys reading, traveling, golf and Broadway plays.
