Jason B. Sims

Jason Sims received his B.S. Degree from Wright State University in 1988, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1993. He has State Bar Admissions in Ohio and Kentucky, and Federal Bar Admission in the United States Court of International Trade and the United States Court of Federal Claims.

He is a Partner at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where his practices areas include Corporate, Merger & Acquisitions, Securities Law, General Business, and Franchise & Distribution.

  • Practices in the area of corporate law with experience in general business, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, securities, business formation, real estate, e-commerce and technology licensing

  • Primary lawyer in a $80 million cross border merger transaction, representing a U.S. consumer goods manufacturer that purchased a Canadian entity
  • Lead attorney representing an internet services company in the construction industry in a merger with one of its largest competitors
  • Lead attorney representing a British owned company in the government services sector that purchased a U.S. subsidiary of a French owned company
  • Represented several private companies in raising venture capital
  • Lead attorney in several acquisitions of transportation companies representing one of the largest transportation companies in the United States
  • Lead attorney in several divestitures for a publicly traded company
  • Negotiated several purchasing contracts for a large publicly traded company
