Board Members
The Honorable Michael J. Voris
Judge Voris received an AB Degree from Ohio University in 1962, Juris Doctorate from Chase College
of Law Northern Kentucky University in 1967, Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Cincinnati
in 1971, and a Diploma of Humanities & Judging from the Academy of Judicial Education in 2001.
He was in the Private Practice of Law from 1968 through 1986. He was elected to the position of Judge,
Clermont County (now Municipal) Court for the term from 1982-1986, and was Presiding Judge in 1984.
On November 4, 1986, he was elected to the position of Judge,
Clermont County Court of Common Pleas,
Division of Domestic Relations. He was re-elected in November of 1992, November of 1998, and November of 2004.
Judge Voris pioneered and implemented one of the first Mandatory Educational Programs for Divorcing
Parents: Helping Children Cope with Divorce. In 2001, he implemented another child-centered program for
High Conflict parenting cases named K.I.D.S. -
Kids In
Divorce Situations.
Both programs have been highly successful in achieving the goal of getting parents to think how their
divorce affects their children. Many cases have been resolved through these programs and mediation.
Judge Voris also implemented one of the most user friendly and technologically
up-to-date Domestic Court websites.

- 1993 Recipient for the National Association of Social Workers "Public Official of the Year" Award for the Ohio Chapter of NASW Southwestern Region of Ohio
- The first known Judge in the Country to complete the Collaborative Law Training. Collaborative Law is a process that seeks settlement of property division and parenting through non-adversarial means
- Lecturer at University Cincinnati-Clermont Paralegal program
