Dear friends,
The Literacy Council is blessed with "good luck"
every time a new student or volunteer tutor utilizes the
agency's services. We feel so blessed to have
individuals who exemplify strong commitment by using our
reading program. Our true "pot o' gold"
cannot be measured financially but lies in the
outpouring of "wealth" we see everyday through the
giving spirit. To our tutor-student teams,
thank you for your courage and the good-luck blessings
your passion for reading brings to us. May a good
READ find its way into your lap, Susan M. Vilardo Executive

Appreciation to Exiting
Board President
Tremendous Gratitude to our outgoing President, Tom
Rocklin. Tom is an extraordinary board
member. He was voted the position of board
president three years ago. It was originally
designed to be a one year term. Tom was most
gracious about remaining at the helm for two extended
terms. When Tom is not rolling up his sleeves for the
Literacy Council, he can be found at Siemens PLM
Software where he is a Senior Technical Project
Manager. Tom, who is known as "Rocky" to many, has
been responsible for jump starting and implementing the
council's computer technological system as well as
designed our web site. Rocky's dedication and
example by leadership of giving back to the community is
evidenced through his long list of volunteer
affiliations. To highlight just a few - Clermont
20/20, Inc.; Clermont Chamber of Commerce; Clermont
Senior Services; Live Oaks Career Development Center;
Milford Band Boosters; and Greater Cincinnati
Foundation. Not bad for a partial list.
Tom, The Literacy Council thanks you for
guiding us these past three years. Your insights
and gentle leadership steered us towards many
accomplishments. In stepping down from your
position as board president and chair, we hope some
"free time" will be added to your
life.
