Spelling Bee 2009
Thanks
Dear friend,

I invite all of you to be a part of our 17th Annual Spelling Bee.  It is a thrilling afternoon of watching adults spell very difficult words and compete to the bitter end for the coveted title of First Place winners!  In addition to the Spelling Bee, we offer a fun way to spend some money to help the mission of the Literacy Council.  During the actual bee, tickets are sold for participation in a raffle and a split the pot.  There is a silent auction filled with fabulous items and gift baskets for you to bid on and hopefully, win!  New this year with be the Literacy Flea Market.  Come in and browse "cast offs" from others.  You get to haggle for the price.  Begin at $1.00 and go up from there.  The worker bees in the flea market will decide if they like your financial offer.  It will be a fun afternoon on Tuesday, June 23, so please join us.

Until then,

May a good READ find its way into your lap,
